www.angelsgate.org A hospice for animals. I have visited Angels Gate as they've assited me with rescued animals and they are just wonderful. They truly do "God's work." Upon visiting their rescue, you feel the love and warmth those animals recieve and they are all just so happy there.
www.farmsanctuary.org I believe highly in their work. Their organization is just wonderful. If you can visit one of two of their farms where they keep rescued farm animals, I highly encourage it. I visited the one in Watkins Glen, NY and it was so peaceful and beautiful. The animals are wonderful and the way the volunteers educate you on the factory treatment of these great creatures is amazing. The behavior of some of these animals, such as pigs & goats is similar to that of a dog and here in America, dogs are not on the menu, so why should pigs and goats be?
